・Basketball
There are 10 students and 2 teachers. We call our team the BRUINS. Our slogan is “FOR THE TEAM～There is no one person～.” We enjoy talking with other members the most during practice. We got fourth place in the Niikawa-chiku regional championship. We practice hard.
・Baseball
We want to go to nationals. We have a strong will to win. We practice every day. We join local volunteer activities. We went to the central Japan championship this year. We will practice very hard.
We went to the central Japan championship in August. We had the best member and teachers. We ran more than any other team. Our goal was “to play baseball with all of our members.” I think the under classmen will continue to play their best.
・Soccer
There are girls in our soccer club. We practice soccer for the Niikawa regional competition every day. We play soccer games and we are getting stronger. There are more people in our soccer club now. We like soccer very much.
Our soccer club is called Hayatsuki FC. Hayatsuki FC has 21 members. We enjoy practicing soccer every day. Unfortunately, we lost in the Niikawa regional competition. We were sad. But we enjoyed playing. The Hayatsuki FC is our best memory of Hayatsuki junior high school.
・Track and field
Our track and field club usually practices six days a week. We have six competitions a year. Everyone practices very hard to compete. Practice is hard, but it is very fun. Do you want to run fast? We welcome beginners!
There are about 40 students and 2 teachers. People who are not good at running can join our club. The club goes to the prefectural championship every year. We have many kinds of running and jumping events, we can choose our favorite. We practice every day. You can be a starting player. So join our club!
・Soft tennis
The soft tennis club has about fifty students and two teachers. Even beginners can do it. The soft tennis club is strong because they have practiced hard for a long time. The soft tennis club has gone to the Hokushinetsu Championship games since 2010.
My school has a soft tennis club. There are about 24 boys and 20 girls in our club. Everyone is very close and everyone works together very well. We have a lot of training camps a year. Everyone likes them very much. Because we play tennis a lot and we sing songs with friends.
・Table tennis
The table tennis ball moves at 140 km/hr over a 274cm table. So table tennis is the fastest sport in the world and is an extreme sport. The Hayatsuki table tennis club members don’t think so, but they enjoy playing table tennis. They win and go to the top every year because they practice hard from Monday to Saturday. Today, they practice table tennis very hard to win the championships.
・Badminton
Have you ever played badminton? We welcome beginners! Practices are hard, but very fun. Our badminton team has 30 students and 2 teachers now. Let’s play badminton!!
・Volleyball
We were called “the weak volleyball club” by some students. But we won the first round in the local competition by practicing very hard. We could play with high school students. Our teacher can be very scary, but she is very kind and cute. We are very good members.
・Judo
We practice judo together with Namerikawa junior high school on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. We don’t have many members. But we play judo very hard every day. So we are very strong. We have a training camp during summer vacation every year. It makes us very powerful.
・Brass band
We have nine parts; the trumpet, the horn, the euphonium, the tuba, the trombone, the clarinet, the saxophone, the flute and percussion. Our brass band club members practice every day.
We perform at the brass band contest in July and at the ensemble contest in January. We also performed for the club presentations in September, as the last performance for the 3rd year students.
We enjoy playing songs with our members. Brass band made us very happy.
There are wooden, brass and percussion instruments in the brass band club. We went to the Ensemble contest. We got the silver award. We practice hard every day. Brass band is very exciting.
・Art
Art club has about thirty students. We have Aichou week. This week is about appreciating birds. We draw pictures of birds. We draw posters for the school festival. The posters are seen by many people. We draw individually. We all do our best!
・Science and cooking
We help the environment. We grow vegetables. We cook with the vegetables we grow. We learn how to cook healthy food in the science and cooking club.
