School events

・Field trip to Takayama ( 1st year / 7th grade )
We go to Takayama for our field trip. The field trip is held in May. Takayama is located in Gifu prefecture. We ate famous food there. It was very delicious.

We can eat Hidagyu in Takayama. We can make rice crackers. There are a lot shops. There are a lot of kind people. We had a good time.

・Field trip to Kanazawa (2nd year / 8th grade )
I’m going to talk about our field trip to Kanazawa. First, we went to Kenrokuen. Kenrokuen is one of the 3 best gardens in Japan. Kenrokuen has a lot of trees and stones. Second we ate famous food. One famous food is wagashi. Wagashi is traditional food.

We went to Kanazawa and Noto by bus. We visited many places like the 21 century museum, Kenrokuen and Kanazawa Castle. We stayed at the Noto Children’s Center. We walked around at night and participated in nature activities. We bought souvenirs for our families. We had a very exciting time.

・School trip
The 3rd year students go on a school trip every year. We went to Tokyo in 2014. We learned a lot in Tokyo. We traveled around Tokyo. On the 3rd day, we learned about work in Disneyland.

We went to Tokyo in May. On the first day, we saw the Lion King at night. I thought it was really great. The next day, we went to Tokyo Skytree. It is taller than Tokyo Tower. On the third day, I went to Tokyo Disneyland with my friends. We went on a lot of rides and attractions there. I had a good time there.

We went to Tokyo this year. One the first day, our class visited Shibaura. We learned how to use water there. We saw the Lion King in Gekidan-shiki at night. On the second day, our group visited Kaminari-mon, a museum, and an aquarium. I learned many things there. On the third day, we went to Disneyland. Our group rode on “Pooh’s Honey Hunt.” Our school trip was really fun.

・School festival (Hayachuusai)
The Hayatsuki school festival has a lot of events. For example, we have an opening dance performance at the beginning. It is very cool. Second, we hold a play. It’s interesting. We are looking forward to the next school festival.

Our school festival is held in October. During the two days each grade does a play and performs a song. The school festival has many events. Many people visit. Many people are looking forward to the next school festival.

We have a school festival in October. We call it Hayachusai. We have held it for thirty nine years. Many people come to Hayachusai every year. We have a play and chorus concert during the school festival. Many people are moved by the school festival every year. It’s our most famous event.

・Sports Day
Sports Day was held on September 6. There were a lot of contests. Sports Day is famous for the cheering contest. Sports Day moves a lot of people. A lot of people are looking forward to seeing sports day next year.

Sports Day is held in September. Four color teams compete. There is a 100 meter race, the Hayachu Ekiden and the Taiyamondo competitions during Sports Day. They are very exciting. We recommend the cheering contest and the Nikawa Kodaijin dance.

・Ekiden
We have the junior high school Ekiden championship in September. Our school competes every year. Many people visit and cheer on the runners. This year, our school’s boys team got second place. We were very excited!!!

We practiced running from August to November. We got second in the boys division, we got eighth in the girls division, and we got first in the Friendly Relay in the Prefectural Championship. We got 16th in the boys division at the Hokushinetsu Championship. Practice is very hard, but it is fun.

・Entrance ceremony
The entrance ceremony is the ceremony in which new students enter Hayatsuki junior high school. Second year students and third year students welcome them. They sing the school song.

The entrance ceremony is held in April. We welcome more than 100 new students. We sing the school song and “Daichi Sansho.” We practice “Daichi Sansho” very hard. This song is very long, so we become very tired. But many people are moved by it. Many students are waiting for you.
